Heard nothing back? Follow up.
A short, polite follow-up puts your application back in front of the hiring manager. Tell us the role and when you applied or interviewed, and get an email ready to send.

Wait about a week
Give it 5 to 7 working days after applying, or after the date they said they would decide, before you follow up.
Send it to a person
If you can find the hiring manager or recruiter, write to them directly. A named person is far more likely to reply than a general inbox.
Follow up once more, then move on
If there is still no answer a week later, one last short note is fine. After that, put your energy into other applications.
Questions
Is it annoying to follow up?
No. One or two polite notes are normal, and they show interest. Daily emails or calls are what annoy people.
Should I follow up after an interview too?
Yes. Send a thank-you note within a day, then follow up if the decision date they gave you passes without news.
